[RMMV Event System] μ'ki's Simple ABS

The RPG MV project as shown in the download link below demonstrates a simple event-based action battle system.

The Simple ABS Features

  • 'A' and 'S' key for the player character's melee and ranged attack action.
  • Attack actions with firing delay (in frames).
  • On-map enemies with states (per event page): Wander, Chase, Attack, Hit and Dead.
  • Using "Self Variables" plugin for some common events that need things like firing delay and enemy HP.
  • Using "On-Map Bullets" plugin for ranged attacks that spawn bullets.
  • Using "Event Commands Extras" plugin for things like drawing on-map HUD and duplicating events at runtime.

Notes

This event system has some flaws that may need some special handlings. You can try to improve it, but you may need JS scripting knowledge, since some common events use pieces of script code.

The demo project uses minimal assets for smaller download size. No audio assets, title screen, etc. included in order to make such compact size.

  1. Hi, I was trying to use the plugin, because it does not generate lag and accepts other plugins. But I have some questions ...
    Please:
    1: How to shoot an arrow diagonally and get it on the diagonal?
    2: If I use the fire, how to shoot it using more than one image?
    3: Is it possible to make a hookshot?
    4: How do I control how many tiles arrow or ball can be played?

    Oi, estava tentando usar o seu plugin, pois ele não gera lag e aceita outros plugins. Mas tenho algumas dúvidas...
    Por favor:
    1: Como atirar uma seta na diagonal e ela ficar na diagonal?
    2: Se eu usar o fogo, como atirar ele usando mais de uma imagem?
    3: É possivel fazer um hookshot?
    4: Como eu controlo quantos tiles a seta ou bola pode ser jogada?

    1. Hi too, thanks for your "questions", or precisely suggestions, but once again, this is just a simple event-based ABS. It uses "On-map Bullet System" plugin, but not other features (like you said). And one thing, I could make some 'add-on' plugins like such those features, but sorry I'm in hiatus now.

  2. Hi, I am having trouble having the abs function properly. The HUD appears but the enemies don't attack. I set up all the common events, switches, variables, classes, and I even have an enemy set up in the same fashion as an event within the demo and I have the initiating event in the game. The problem might be with the initiating event because I dont know how to set up the plug-in commands properly and changing them incorrectly results in the game crashing after pressing 'new game'. I've removed the plug-in commands but the enemy does not attack. Can you please help me get this plug-in working? Thank you in advance.
